Albert Haynesworth chosen by Titans

NEW YORK, April 20 (UPI) -- The Tennessee Titans stayed in their own state in the first round of Saturday's NFL draft, selecting Tennessee defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth with the 15th pick.

The Titans originally had the 14th pick, but traded down one spot with the New York Giants. Tennessee landed the Giants' fourth-round pick in the deal.

A physical player, Haynesworth left school following his junior season. In his final collegiate season, the 6-5, 320-pounder collected 36 tackles, 1 1/2 sacks and 12 stops for losses.

Haynesworth is the sixth defensive lineman taken among the first 15 picks. Teammate John Henderson was taken ninth by Jacksonville.
