Cincinnati 5, Houston 4 (10 innings)

CINCINNATI, April 18 (UPI) -- Jason LaRue had an RBI single with two out in the bottom of the 10th inning Thursday as the Cincinnati Reds rallied twice for a 5-4 victory over the Houston Astros.

After the Astros scored a run in the top of the 10th, the Reds scored a pair in the bottom of the frame, capped by LaRue's line-drive single down the left-field line.

Aaron Boone had given Cincinnati life in the eighth inning, hitting a two-out, three-run homer off closer Billy Wagner for a 3-2 lead -- their first of the series.

Houston tied it in the ninth on a double-play grounder by Craig Biggio.

Barry Larkin and Adam Dunn each had two hits and two RBI for the Reds, who avoided a three-game sweep and snapped a three-game losing streak.

Roy Oswalt was outstanding over six scoreless innings for the Astros, who had won three straight.
