The backcourt of Eric Snow and Speedy Claxton combined for 43 points Sunday as the undermanned Philadelphia 76ers snapped a six-game losing streak against the Orlando Magic and clinched a playoff berth with a 95-89 victory.

Philadelphia (43-37) also moved into a tie with Orlando (43-37) for the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference. The Charlotte Hornets (42-37) need a win at Milwaukee later Sunday to create a three-way deadlock for fourth place, which carries home-court advantage in the first round of the playoffs.

The Magic were expected to continue their dominance of the injury-riddled Sixers who were without Allen Iverson, Aaron McKie and Derrick Coleman, but were stung by Snow and Claxton.

Snow scored 14 of his 22 points in the second quarter, when Philadelphia outscored Orlando, 33-19.

Claxton took charge down the stretch, scoring 12 of his 19 points in the fourth quarter. Two of those baskets came in a 10-0 run that gave the Sixers an 81-71 lead with 7:32 left.

Iverson remains sidelined with a broken hand, McKie is sidelined with a scratched cornea and Coleman, who had 20 points in Friday's win over Washington, sat out with a hyperextended left knee.

Tracy McGrady led Orlando with 31 points and nine rebounds. Troy Hudson added 15 points, but the rest of the Magic were just 17-of-48 from the field.
