Florida 7, Atlanta 0

MIAMI, April 14 (UPI) -- Ramon Castro hit two home runs and tied a career high with three RBI and batterymate A.J. Burnett tossed a four-hitter Sunday as the Florida Marlins rolled to a 7-0 victory over the Atlanta Braves.

Castro, a little-used backup catcher for Florida since 1997, had just 11 at bats in 2001 and had one hit in his first 12 plate appearances this season.

The 26-year-old Castro had just four career homers and had not homered since September 18, 2000. But he reached Atlanta starter Jason Marquis (1-2) for a solo homer in the fourth inning and a two-run shot in the sixth.

Florida's Derrek Lee added a two-run homer and an RBI single to provide a cushion for Burnett (2-1), who recorded his first shutout since May 29, 2001 at Pittsburgh.

Burnett walked three while striking out eight.
