VIERA, Fla., March 29 (UPI) -- Lee Stevens homered and Josh Karp allowed a run over four innings Friday as the Montreal Expos edged Florida, 7-6.

Stevens homered off Armando Almanza in the fourth inning, when Montreal scored three times. Brad Wilkerson doubled, drove in one run and scored another for the Expos, who scored seven runs on nine hits.

Karp allowed three hits and two walks but struck out five. Newly acquired Matt Herges allowed two runs while retiring only one batter.

Florida starter Kevin Olsen allowed an unearned run over three innings. Braden Looper struck out one in a hitless ninth for Florida, which is 9-18-4 this spring.

Derrek Lee had three hits, including a homer, for Florida.
