Eagles re-sign center Fraley

PHILADELPHIA, March 28 (UPI) -- The Philadelphia Eagles agreed Thursday to a one-year contract with free agent center Hank Fraley, who was claimed off the waivers by the club prior to the start of the 2000 season.

Fraley, 25, stepped into the starting lineup last year when incumbent starter Bubba Miller sustained a season-ending ankle injury in the first quarter of the preseason finale against the New York Jets.

Fraley went on to start 15 regular season games and all three playoff contests for the Eagles.

A product of Robert Morris, he signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2000 as a rookie free agent and was claimed by the Eagles after being released.

Fraley spent the entire 2000 season on the 53-man roster, but was inactive for all 16 games and both playoff contests.
