Bucks place Redd on injured list

MILWAUKEE, March 28 (UPI) -- The Milwaukee Bucks placed guard Michael Redd on the injured list Thursday with a sprained MCL in his left knee.

Redd suffered the injury in Tuesday's 112-106 home overtime loss against the Dallas Mavericks that dropped the Bucks to 9-14 since the All-Star break.

In his second season, Redd is one of the most improved players in the NBA. After playing just six games as a rookie, he is averaging 11.3 points per game and is fifth in the NBA with a .462 3-point shooting percentage.

Despite their slump, the Bucks (37-33) are tied with the Philadelphia 76ers for fifth place in the Eastern Conference and are just one-half game behind the fourth-place Orlando Magic.
