Vancouver 3, New Jersey 2 (OT)

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., March 17 (UPI) -- Defenseman Mattias Ohlund scored 3:04 into overtime Sunday night off a spectacular feed from Todd Bertuzzi after setting up the tying tally as the Vancouver Canucks rallied for their fourth straight win, 3-2 over the New Jersey Devils.

Vancouver went on the power play 1:40 into the extra period after Valeri Kamensky was hit with a controversial penalty for interfering with Canucks goaltender Peter Skudra.

With 36 seconds left on the advantage, Bertuzzi carried down the left side and drew two defenders. But he twirled at the bottom of the faceoff circle and made a behind-the-back pass to a wide-open Ohlund, who wristed the puck into a half-empty net.

The goal improved Vancouver to 4-0 on a six-game road trip. The Canucks climbed into a tie with Dallas and St. Louis for the final two postseason spots in the Western Conference.

The single point left New Jersey one point behind the sixth-place New York Islanders in the East. Former Canuck Sergei Nemchinov and Patrik Elias scored in the first period for the Devils, who had a three-game winning streak snapped.
