Seattle 7, Chicago White Sox 5

TUCSON, March 11 (UPI) -- Freddy Garcia allowed a solo homer to Kenny Lofton over four strong innings and Mike Cameron doubled and homered Monday as the Seattle Mariners posted a 7-5 victory over the Chicago White Sox.

Garcia allowed just the one hit, walked only one batter and struck out two before giving way to Gil Meche, who struck out two in a scoreless fifth.

Mark McLemore and Scott Podsednik each had two hits for Seattle, which had 10 -- five for extra bases.

Lorenzo Barcelo started for Chicago and allowed three runs and four hits in three innings. Matt Ginter followed with two scoreless frames.

Lofton went 1-for-3 with the home run while Aaron Rowand, one of the players he is battling for playing time, went 1-for-2 with a homer and two RBI. Tony Graffanino went 2-for-2 for the White Sox.
