PHILADELPHIA, March 7 (UPI) -- Dean McAmmond scored the go-ahead goal against his former team and Jarome Iginla kept rolling with an empty-netter and an assist Thursday night as the Calgary Flames rallied for a 4-2 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers.
Shaken up in the first period on a hard hit by defenseman DanMcGillis, McAmmond got the last laugh when he backhanded a rebound over goaltender Brian Boucher's glove with 5:17 to go in the second.
McAmmond spent just 10 games with the Flyers last season before he was traded to the Flames in June for a fourth-round draft pick.
Philadelphia had a 17-11 edge in shots in the third period, but could not get the puck past Roman Turek, who finished with 33 saves.
Iginla scored his league-leading 41st goal and sixth in four games to seal the win as Calgary improved to 2-1 on a nine-game road trip that will go a long way toward determining whether it reaches the postseason for the first time in six years.
Jiri Dopita and Todd Fedoruk tallied for the Flyers, who were beaten at home by the Flames for the first time since Oct. 13, 1996.
