NBA fines Doc Rivers

NEW YORK, March 6 (UPI) -- Orlando Magic coach Doc Rivers was fined $7,500 Wednesday for his tirade during and after Tuesday night's 111-98 loss to the Indiana Pacers.

NBA senior vice president of basketball operations Stu Jackson penalized Rivers for failing to leave the court in a timely manner following his ejection and for publicly criticizing game officials.

With 2:25 remaining, Rivers and Orlando's Darrell Armstrong were ejected for arguing after Indiana's Jermaine O'Neal appeared to get away with an offensive foul pushing off on Armstrong.

"The refs didn't see the game I saw," Rivers said. "We took charge after charge and they would not make a call. That was the worst officiated game ever."
