Florida 4, Los Angeles 2

VIERA, Fla., March 6 (UPI) -- Matt Clement pitched three scoreless innings and Eric Owens had two hits and two runs scored Wednesday to lead the Florida Marlins to a 4-2 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Clement started and allowed two hits and a walk while striking out one. He was followed by Jason Grilli, who pitched two hitless frames.

Owens, who also stole a base, hit a solo homer off Mike Trombley in a two-run sixth that gave the Marlins a 4-0 lead.

Mike Redmond drove in two runs and Andy Fox had two hits and scored a run for Florida, which won for the first time after losing its first four spring games.

The loser was Andy Ashby, who gave up single runs in each of his two innings. Ashby is trying to return from an arm injury which ended his 2001 season.

Chad Kreuter and Alex Cora drove in runs for Los Angeles, which managed just five hits.
