Colorado 4, Arizona (ss) 3

TUCSON, March 5 (UPI) -- Mike Bell's RBI double in the eighth inning Tuesday lifted the Colorado Rockies to a 4-3 exhibition victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks split squad.

Bell came in the game for Todd Helton, who had tied the game 3-3 with his first spring training home run in the sixth inning. In his only at-bat he plated Todd Hollandsworth with the go-ahead run.

The Diamondbacks scored their runs off Rockies starter John Thomson and Chris Holt. Dennys Reyes tossed a perfect seventh inning for the win and Carlos Almanzar followed Rick White to record the save.

Tony Womack, who had the tying double in Game Seven of the World Series, went 3-for-3 for Arizona.

Arizona starter Miguel Batista allowed two hits over three scoreless innings. Reliever Jeremy Ward allowed three runs and Jose Parra surrendered Bell's double and took the loss.
