AUJBURN, Ala., March 5 (UPI) -- Auburn, which is the only Southeastern Conference team with a losing record, will be without center Kyle Davis when it faces 12th-ranked Florida in the first round of the conference tournament on Thursday.
Davis fractured his left wrist in Saturday's 59-54 home loss to Louisiana State.
The 6-10 Davis is averaging 3.3 blocks in only 20.3 minutes per game this season to rank 10th in Division I and first the SEC. He is averaging more blocks than four SEC teams, including South Carolina, LSU, Mississippi and Vanderbilt. He had a season-high nine blocks against Louisiana Tech on Dec.4.
Davis, who is already second on Auburns career blocked shots list with 162,occupies the top two school single-season block records with 84 last year and 78 this year.
Auburn (12-15) has lost four of its last five games.
