DUNEDIN, Fla., March 3 (UPI) -- Reggie Taylor's single in the top of the sixth inning Sunday lifted the Philadelphia Phillies to a 4-3 Grapefruit league victory over the Toronto Blue Jays.
Batting in the second spot, Taylor went two for five and drove home free agent acquisition Ricky Ledee with the go-ahead run.
Bobby Abreu, who signed a five-year $64 million extension -- the richest in Phillies history -- was two for two as the designated hitter.
Randy Wolf tossed three scoreless innings in his spring debut and middle reliever Cliff Politte picked up Philadelphia's first spring win.
Chris Carpenter tossed two scoreless innings in his spring debut. Minor league reliever Gustavo Chacin allowed four runs in three innings to take the loss.
A three-run home run by outfielder Vernon Wells off closer Jose Mesa accounted for Toronto's runs.
