GREENVILLE, N.C., Feb. 26 (UPI) -- Travis Holcomb-Faye scored 15 points
to lead East Carolina to a 51-46 upset victory over ninth-ranked Marquette

in a Conference-USA matchup Tuesday night.
The win was East Carolina's (12-16, 5-10 USA) fourth in its last
five games and fifth straight at home. It was Marquette's second straight
loss marking the third time this season the Golden Eagles (23-5, 12-3) lost
to a ranked opponent. They lost to Wake Forest on Dec. 29 and Cincinnati
on Friday.
Dwayne Wade scored a basket at the end of the first half, making
it 27-20 Marquette, but the Pipers outscored the Golden Eagles 31-17 in the
second half.
Wade scored 15 of his 19 points in the first half to lead Marquette.
