TAMPA, Fla., Feb. 9 (UPI) -- Dainius Zubrus, Ulf Dahlen and Colin Forbes each scored Saturday night as the Washington Capitals rallied for a 4-2 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning in the opener of home-and-home series between the Southeast Division rivals.

Washington took the lead for good 1:51 later. Capitals' leading scorer Peter Bondra skated around the Lightning net and dumped the puck into the slot, where Dahlen shot it over goaltender Nikolai Khabibulin's shoulder.

Forbes exended Washington's lead to 3-1 with 6:33 left in the period, chasing Khabibulin from the nets. He was replaced by Kevin Weekes, who stopped all nine shots faced in just under 27 minutes of play.

Making his first start in 15 games, Washington goaltender Craig Billington finished with 19 saves and improved to 3-4-3. Olaf Kolzig left Friday's game at Nashville with a sore knee and is listed as day-to-day.
