Pittsburgh 5, Philadelphia 2

PITTSBURGH, Jan. 21 (UPI) -- Mario Lemieux had four assists and Aleksey Morozov had two goals and an assist as the Pittsburgh Penguins ended the Philadelphia Flyers' eight-game winning streak Monday night with a 5-2 victory.

Lemieux has a pair of four-point games since coming back from a nagging hip injury on January 12. But he was at his vintage best in this one, especially after Ruslan Fedotenko personally erased Philadelphia's two-goal deficit.

Less than two minutes after Fedotenko tied it, Lemieux moved through the left faceoff circle, deked to his backhand and -- with defenseman Kim Johnsson draped on his back -- slid a cross-crease pass to set up Morozov's easy tap-in at 6:22 of third period.

Lemieux also got an assist on Robert Lang's power play just 48 seconds later. Goaltender Brian Boucher got his blocker on Alexei Kovalev's blast from the blue line, but Lang controlled the rebound off his chest and swept in the puck before Boucher could cover it.

Kovalev capped the scoring -- and Lemieux's four-point night -- with another power-play goal with 4:23 remaining. Lemieux passed from behind the net and Kovalev slapped a one-timer from the top of the left circle past Boucher for his 17th goal.
