Defenseman Chris Pronger got a feed from Doug Weight at the blue line and slowly crept in before rifling a slap shot from the top of the slot. Byron Dafoe made a pad stop, but Tkachuk dug out the puck and slid it under the goaltender for his 25th goal of the season and sixth game-winner.

The Blues also won eight in a row last season from Nov. 24-Dec. 15. St. Louis also extended its home winning streak to seven games.

Martin Lapointe scored the lone goal for Boston, which has lost three of four (1-1

2) following a three-game winning streak. The Bruins also have dropped nine of their last 11 trips to St. Louis (2-8
1).
