Butler 68, Youngstown St. 50

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio, Jan. 12 (UPI) -- Rylan Hainje scored 14 points and grabbed 11 rebounds and Mike Monserez chipped in 12 points off the bench Saturday night as No. 23 Butler posted a 68-50 triumph over Youngstown State.

Thomas Jackson had 11 points and Scott Robisch and Brandon Miller added 10 apiece for Butler (15-2, 2-2 Horizon), which bounced back from a loss to Detroit on Thursday.

The Bulldogs enjoyed a decided turnover advantage in the contest. Butler turned 18 turnovers into 22 points while committing just seven miscues.

Youngstown State (3-11, 1-3) trailed just 35-30 at the half, but Butler opened the second half with a 15-2 burst to turn the game into a rout.

Ryan Patton had 16 points and TeJay Anderson added 10 for the Penguins.
