SUNRISE, Fla., Jan. 11 (UPI) -- Patrick Lalime stopped 23 shots and the Ottawa Senators scored three goals in a span of just over four minutes in the second period Friday night en route to a 4-2 victory over the Florida Panthers.

With the game tied, 1-1, defenseman Ricard Persson took a pass from Daniel Alfredsson in the left faceoff circle and wristed the puck past Florida goaltender Roberto Luongo, his second goal of the season.

Mike Fisher tallied his 13th goal just 76 seconds later. Martin Havlat beat Luongo to a loose puck and found Fisher in the right circle. Fisher broke in and beat Luongo with a wrist shot.

Luongo was replaced by Trevor Kidd, but returned to the game later in the period.

Havlat set up the third goal of the period at the 6:52 mark, finding rookie Chris Neil in the left circle, from where he beat Kidd for his fifth goal.

Lalime improved to 4-1

The Panthers were without Pavel Bure, who is out indefinitely with a fractured hand, but his brother Valeri was activated prior to the start of the game and scored his second goal of the season with 4:57 left in the game.
