Calgary 4, Minnesota 3

CALGARY, Alberta, Dec. 30 (UPI) -- Jarome Iginla scored twice, including the game-winner with 4:27 left in the third period, as the Calgary Flames ended a five-game winless streak Saturday night with a 4-3 victory over the Minnesota Wild.

Clarke Wilm beat defenseman Willie Mitchell to the puck, averting an icing call, then fed Iginla in the right faceoff circle. Iginla fired a slap shot past goaltender Manny Fernandez for his league-leading 27th goal and third in as many games.

Iginla got the Flames on the board 6:23 into the second period, halving the deficit. On a power play, he got a cross-ice pass from Marc Savard in the left circle and wristed the puck past Fernandez.

Iginla and Savard teamed up on Calgary's third goal, also on the power play. Iginla found Savard in the right circle, where he put a shot between Fernandez's pads for his sixth goal. It broke a 2-2 tie with 6:58 left in the second period.

Calgary was two for seven with the man advantage after a three-for-67 stretch.
