Boston 5, Tampa Bay 4 (OT)

TAMPA, Fla., Dec. 29 (UPI) -- Glen Murray scored 2:34 minutes into overtime after collecting two assists Saturday night as the Boston Bruins extended their winning streak to five games with a 5-4 triumph over the Tampa Bay Lightning.

One night after accumulating a career-best five points, Murray got a pass from P.J. Axelsson at the right faceoff dot and sent a wrist shot over goaltender Nikolai Khabibulin to put Boston atop the Eastern Conference.

Murray also set up Rob Zamuner's shorthanded goal with 5:01 to play in regulation. He has three goals and five assists in the last two games.

Defenseman Nick Boynton, Axelsson and Bill Guerin also scored for the Bruins, who got 24 saves from backup goalie John Grahame.

Vaclav Prospal and Brad Richards each had a goal and an assist and Martin St. Louis and Jassen Cullimore also scored for the Lightning.

Khabibulin stopped 34 shots, but surrendered at least three goals for the fourth time in five games. Tampa Bay has lost two in a row following a three-game winning streak.
