Chicago 4, NY Islanders 3

CHICAGO, Dec. 7 (UPI) -- Eric Daze matched a team record with three power-play goals Friday night as the Chicago Blackhawks held off the New York Islanders, 4-3, to remain unbeaten at home in the series since 1990.

Six of the game's seven goals were scored with the man advantage and the other was a four-on-four tally by Chicago's Steve Sullivan.

Daze recorded a natural hat trick of power-play goals over the first two periods, giving the Blackhawks a 3-1 lead.

It was the fifth time in franchise history a player recorded three power-play goals and the first since Tony Amonte at Calgary on Nov. 28, 1998.

Daze leads the team with 17 goals -- more than halfway to his total from last season. He had just three on the power play entering the game.

The Islanders closed within 4-3 in the first five minutes of the third period but fell to 0-10-1 on the road against the Hawks since a 4-2 victory at Chicago Stadium on Oct. 7, 1990.
