CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va., Dec. 1 (UPI) -- Roger Mason Jr. scored 22 points and Chris Williams added 16 Saturday to rally eighth-ranked Virginia from a 16-point halftime deficit to a 69-61 win over Virginia Tech.
It was Virginia's first game since a slippery affair at Richmond Coliseum on Saturday, when a slick court forced the suspension and eventual canceling of a game against Michigan State.

The Cavaliers (4-0) came out flat against the Hokies (4-2), falling behind at the half, 43-27. But they outscored their rival, 42-18, over the final 20 minutes to remain unbeaten.
Bryant Matthews and Carlos Dixon scored 12 points apiece for Virginia Tech, which has lost six straight in the series.
