BALTIMORE, Nov. 28 (UPI) -- Baltimore Ravens defensive tackle Sam Adams underwent arthroscopic knee surgery Wednesday, but is expected to miss only one game.

Adams, who made his first Pro Bowl last season, will sit out Sunday's game against Indianapolis. He is expected to return Dec. 16 in a key AFC Central matchup with Pittsburgh.

Baltimore has a bye in two weeks.

Also Wednesday, the Ravens announced the signing of defensive end Marques Douglas from the New Orleans Saints' practice squad and placed defensive end Michael McCrary on injured reserve.

McCrary, Baltimore's top pass rusher, already was expected to miss the rest of the season after undergoing knee surgery last week.

The Ravens also said they will salute Shannon Sharpe before Sunday's game against the Colts, introducing him as the all-time leader in receptions and yards among tight ends.

Sharpe will be escorted to midfield by teammates Ray Lewis and Rod Woodson, and will be given a presentation by Ravens owner Art Modell and team executive Ozzie Newsome.

Sharpe broke Newsome's reception mark of 662 on Nov. 18 against the Cleveland Browns.
