St. Joseph's 81, Colorado 75

PHILADELPHIA, Nov. 25 (UPI) -- Marvin O'Connor scored 29 points and Bill Phillips contributed 18 Sunday night, leading a long-range assault as 19th-ranked St. Joseph's held on for an 81-75 victory over Colorado.

O'Connor scored 19 of the Hawks' 39 points in the second half as they posted their second straight win after dropping their season opener to Eastern Washington.

The All-American guard, who set a school record for three-pointers last season, went five of 11 from beyond the arc while scoring 29 points against Colorado (3-1) for the second year in a row.

Phillips established a career best with his four three-pointers, helping St. Joseph's (2-1) shoot 10 of 19 from long range.

Michel Morandais scored 16 points and backcourt mate James Wright added 15 for Colorado, which failed to threaten after trailing at halftime, 42-32.
