Oklahoma St. 77, North Texas 58

STILLWATER, Okla., Nov. 24 (UPI) -- Victor Williams scored 15 points Saturday night as No. 16 Oklahoma State used a huge second half to defeat North Texas, 77-58.

The Cowboys were playing for the sixth time in eight days and went to halftime trailing, 37-35. But Melvin Sanders scored the first seven points of the second half as Oklahoma State used a 13-1 run for a 48-38 lead.

Oklahoma State (6-0) outscored North Texas, 42-21, in the second half.

Sanders finished with 14 points, including three three-pointers. Andre Williams and Ivan McFarlin each added 12 points as Oklahoma State shot 48 percent.

Chris Davis scored 18 points to lead North Texas (1-1), which suffered its first loss under coach Johnny Jones. Davis had scored 26 points in a season-opening victory over Southwest Missouri State on Nov. 16.
