Woods heads Skins field

INDIO, Calif., Nov. 23 (UPI) -- Fresh from a victory at the Grand Slam of Golf, Tiger Woods goes after another lucrative prize

when he competes this weekend in the revamped Skins Game.

A purse of $1 million will be at stake when Woods tees off with defending champion Colin Montgomerie of Scotland, Jesper Parnivek of Sweden and Australia's Greg Norman on Saturday.

Nine holes will be contested on both Saturday and Sunday.

Each of the first six holes will be worth $25,000 and the next six $50,000. The foursome will play for $70,000 on holes 13-17, with the closing hole worth $200,000.

Woods, the world's top-ranked player, fired a 7-under-par 65 on Wednesday in Kauai, Hawaii, to capture his fourth straight PGA Grand Slam of Golf title and $400,000.
