Calgary 2, Chicago 2 (OT)

CALGARY, Alberta, Nov. 16 (UPI) -- Dean McAmmond's power-play goal against his former team with 4:01 left in regulation Thursday night lifted the Calgary Flames into a 2-2 tie with the Chicago Blackhawks in a battle of two of the NHL's most surprising teams.

McAmmond poked a rebound of defenseman Derek Morris' slap shot from the blue line into a vacated net, helping Calgary stretch its unbeaten streak to seven games (6

1).

The Flames, who have a league-low two regulation losses, got a chance to tie when Chicago's Tony Amonte was penalized for tripping Morris with 5:03 left.

Calgary (13-2-1-2) has yet to suffer a regulation home loss, with both setbacks at the Pengrowth Saddledome coming in overtime.

The Blackhawks, who squandered a two-goal lead, had to kill another penalty in the final minutes of regulation as Michael Nylander went off for high-sticking with 3:43 left.

Chicago registered the only shot in a quiet overtime session.

Ryan Vandenbussche scored his first goal of the season 6:28 into the first period before Steve Sullivan tallied 1:56 into the second to make it 2-0.
