PHILADELPHIA, Nov. 15 (UPI) -- Brian Boucher and Roman Cechmanek combined for 24 saves and Keith Primeau collected a goal and two assists Thursday night as the Philadelphia Flyers rolled to a 5-0 decision over the Washington Capitals, who are winless in eight of their last nine games.

Coming off Tuesday's embarrassing 11-5 home loss to Ottawa, Washington traveled to Philadelphia, where the Capitals have not won since Jan. 31, 1998.

The Flyers wasted little time extending their home unbeaten streak against Washington to 10 games (9

1). They scored three times on their first seven shots against former Vezina Trophy winner Olaf Kolzig. In the one-sided loss to Ottawa, Kolzig lasted just one period while surrendering five goals on 14 shots.

Primeau opened the scoring 44 seconds into the game and Jiri Dopita added his first NHL goal on the power play 94 seconds later. Primeau picked up the primary assist on Mark Recchi's shorthanded tally at 3:40 and Philadelphia never looked back.

The league leader in goals-against average and save percentage, Boucher stopped 13 shots and was working on his third shutout of the season before leaving with a strained left hamstring late in the second period. Cechmanek finished up with 11 saves.
