Orlando 101, Denver 82

DENVER, Nov. 15 (UPI) -- Behind their dynamic duo of Grant Hill and Tracy McGrady, the Orlando Magic extended their winning streak against the Denver Nuggets to nine games Thursday night with a 101-82 triumph.

Hill had 23 points and 11 rebounds and McGrady added 20 and seven as the Magic denied Denver a fourth consecutive victory. The Nuggets have not defeated the Magic since March 12, 1996.

McGrady scored eight points during a 17-4 run late in the third quarter that give the Magic a 76-60 lead. Orlando started the final period with a 12-point cushion and led in double digits thereafter.

Orlando won its second straight game to improve to 2-2 on a five-game road trip. They made 21 of 25 free throws.

Ryan Bowen scored 14 points to lead Denver. Nick Van Exel, the NBA's fourth-leading scorer at 27 points per game, had just 13.

The Nuggets shot under 33 percent and were five of 18 from three-point range.
