WACO, Texas, Nov. 3 (UPI) -- Chris Simms continued to pile up scoring passes Saturday, throwing two more in helping the fifth-ranked Texas Longhorns coast pass the Baylor Bears, 49-10.
Simms threw for touchdowns 42 and 31 yards and also added a short scoring run as the Longhorns (8-1, 5-1 Big 12 South) won their fourth straight, once again in easy fashion.
The four victories have come by an average of 30 points.
During the winning streak, the junior signal-caller has seen his stock rise in the Heisman Trophy race by throwing for almost 1,000 yards and 14 touchdowns.
On Saturday, Simms completed 15 of 29 passes for 271 yards while being picked off once. The Bears dropped their sixth straight game following a 2-0 start.
Texas has won eight of the last nine meetings inthe series to take a 65-22-4 lead.
