North Carolina St. 55, Duke 31

DURHAM, N.C., Nov. 3 (UPI) -- Ray Robinson scored two touchdowns and rushed for 104 yards Saturday as North Carolina State ran over winless Duke, 55-31.

Robinson caught a 16-yard touchdown pass from Philip Rivers and added an 87-yard scoring run for a 21-0 lead in the first quarter. Rivers found Willie Wright for his second touchdown of the quarter and a 28-0 cushion.

The Wolfpack (5-3, 3-3 ACC) opened the seond quarter with a pair of defensive scores. Linebacker Levar Fisher returned a fumble 52 yards for a score and defensive back Marcus Hudson returned D Bryant's interception 100 yards for a 42-0 lead.

North Carolina State added a 38-yard touchdown from backup Olin Hannum to Sterling Hicks before the Blue Devils ((0-9, 0-6) got on the board just before halftime on an 11-yard touchdown run by Alex Wade.

Rivers completed 13 of 22 passes for 151 yards for North Carolina State, which posted its eighth straight victory over Duke. Robinson caught four passes for 52 yards.

Bryant finished 31 for 53 for 400 yards and two touchdowns, setting career highs in completions, attempts and yardage. The 400-yard passing game was the 10th in Duke history and the first since Spencer Romine threw for 404 yards at Maryland in 1989.

The Blue Devils have lost 21 straight, the longest current skid in Division I-A.
