The Thrashers took a 3-1 lead after the first period, but Vaclav Prospal scored in the second and third to tie it.

Hnat Domenichelli gave Atlanta a 1-0 lead just 1:54 into the game. He took a pass from rookie Dany Heatley and his slap shot from the left faceoff circle went through the legs of starting goaltender Nikolai Khabibulin.

After Ben Clymer's wrist shot from the high slot tied the game at 7:20 of the first, Khabibulin surrendered two more goals in the period before being replaced by Weekes at the start of the second.

Khabibulin, who recorded his first shutout with the Lightning in Thursday's 3-0 victory over the Los Angeles Kings, allowed three goals on 11 shots.
