Nashville 5, Calgary 4 (OT)

CALGARY, Alberta, Oct. 25 (UPI) -- Andy Delmore scored a power-play goal with 1:40 remaining in overtime Thursday night after Nashville had squandered a three-goal lead in the third period, giving the Predators a 5-4 victory over the Calgary Flames.

Delmore, who also tallied in the first period, took a pass from Cliff Ronning and beat a screened Roman Turek with a fluttering shot from just inside the blue line.

Calgary appeared to have the momentum heading into the extra session after erasing a 4-1 deficit in the third. Jarome Iginla scored his second goal of the period with 55 seconds remaining in regulation to force overtime.

But Calgary's Dean McAmmond picked up a penalty for kneeing Ronning at 1:46 of overtime and the Predators cashed in on the power play to finish 2-1-0 on their Western Canadian road trip.

Nashville came out strong at the start as Denis Arkhipov and Greg Johnson scored in the game's first 3:21, opening a 2-0 lead.

After Derek Morris got Calgary on the board just under two minutes later, Delmore restored Nashville's two-goal margin with 2:02 left in the first period.

David Legwand's goal made it 4-1 with 1:05 left in the second period. But Calgary came out flying after the intermission. Iginla scored at the 2:40 mark before Craig Conroy pulled the Flames within 4-3 less than three minutes later.

Goaltender Mike Dunham held off Calgary until Iginla's tying goal, recording 14 of his 26 saves in the third period.

Turek made 22 saves for the Flames, who have dropped two in a row for the first time this season.
