DALLAS, Oct. 17 (UPI) -- Steve Nash had 22 points and six assists and Michael Finley scored 16 points as the Dallas Mavericks cruised to a 112-80 exhibition romp over the Denver Nuggets Tuesday night.

Nash made 6-of-13 shots from the floor and was 8-of-8 from the line before resting in the fourth quarter. Dirk Nowitzki totaled 15 points and reserve Adrian Griffin scored all of his 11 points in the first three quarters for Dallas (3-2).

Nowitzki scored eight points and Finley seven in the first period, when the Mavericks shot 53 percent (9-for-17) and built a 28-23 lead they never relinquished.

Zendon Hamilton scored 14 points and fellow reserve Cedric Ceballos added 13 and 10 boards for Denver (1-2), which shot 36.5 percent (27-for-74).

Nuggets forward Tariq Abdul-Wahad missed all four shots he took and had just two rebounds while collecting four fouls in 15 minutes. Denver's other four starters were just 10-of-28 from the field. Rookie free agent guard Omar Cook scored seven points in 19 minutes off the Nuggets' bench, while second-round pick Kenny Satterfield missed both shots he took in eight minutes.

The teams combined for 60 fouls in a contest that lasted two hours, 21 minutes.
