Jeremy Roenick set up two goals in a 17-second span in the second period as Philadelphia took a 3-0 lead.

Roenick drew two defenders to the puck as he skated to the right faceoff circle but stopped short and fed a pass to John Leclair in the slot. Leclair scored on a wrist shot at 12:14 of the second to give Philadelphia a 2-0 cushion.

Roenick also set up Ruslan Fedotenko's eventual game-winner. Fedotenko took a pass behind the net, skated to the left side and snuck a backhander between goaltender Trevor Kidd's pads.

Florida scored its first goal in three home games this season with 4:53 remaining in the second period. Viktor Kozlov picked up a rebound of Pavel Bure's shot at the right side of the crease and flipped it over the pads of goalie Roman Cechmanek, cutting the deficit to 3-1.

The Flyers regained a two-goal lead when Todd Fedoruk scored with just under three minutes to play in the period.

All-Stars Pavel Bure of Florida and Simon Gagne of Philadelphia traded goals in a third period highlighted by numerous scrums.

Kidd made 47 saves but suffered his second loss in as many decisions.

Philadelphia took advantage of a lucky bounce to get on the board with 3:43 left in the opening period. Kidd got his left pad on Justin Williams' close-in shot, but as Bure stopped in the crease, the puck bounced off his skate and into the net.
