Philadelphia 5, Cincinnati 1 (2nd Game)

CINCINNATI, Oct. 6 (UPI) -- David Coggin allowed one run and eight hits in seven innings Saturday as the Philadelphia Phillies completed a doubleheader sweep of the Cincinnati Reds, 5-1.

The sweep was the Phillies first in Cincinnati since May 26, 1963. Philadelphia clinched second place in the National League East with a 2-1 triumph in the opener.

Coggin (6-7) walked three, struck out two and won for just the second time in eight starts.

Rookie Jimmy Rollins hit his 14th home run of the season in the third inning, a solo shot off Reds starter Joey Hamilton (1-2), and Marlon Anderson drove in a pair of runs.

Dennis Cook, Jose Santiago and Jose Mesa combined to shut down the Cincinnati over the final two innings.

The Reds have lost four straight games and five of their last eight.
