Sia tells story of mother with HIV in 'Free Me' video

June 9 (UPI) -- Singer Sia hopes to raise funds and awareness for HIV research with her latest music video for "Free Me."

The video is narrated by actress Julianne Moore and tells the story of an pregnant woman diagnosed with HIV. The woman is portrayed by Zoe Saldana.

It begins with Saldana's character receiving her diagnosis before fading into an interpretive dance routine depicting the emotions she experienced leading up to the birth of her child.

As Saldana holds the newborn child, a statistic stating that HIV is the leading killer worldwide of women of reproductive age appears on screen, followed by a call to support a "promising new AIDS cure" at endhiv.com.

All proceeds from the sale of "Free Me" will be donated to endHIV in an effort produce a vaccine for HIV and AIDS.
