England joins CACI board of directors

ARLINGTON, Va., Aug. 19 (UPI) -- CACI International has appointed a former U.S. deputy secretary of defense to join its board of directors in a move to add new support for its federal arena.

U.S. company CACI announced the appointment of Gordon England to its board of directors. England joins CACI after serving as a deputy secretary of defense under President George W. Bush.

CACI selected England, who has also served two times as secretary of the Navy, as part of an effort to bring new experience to the board from someone who has held high-level national and industry positions. England has also worked as executive vice president at major defense contractor General Dynamics among other executive positions.

"We are honored to have an executive of Gordon England's outstanding qualifications and experience join CACI's board of directors," J.P. London, CACI chairman of the board, said in a statement.

"He brings proven expertise in innovating and moving aggressively to meet America's most critical defense challenges."
