RESTON, Va., Aug. 25 (UPI) -- The U.S. State Department has contracted a Commonwealth Trading Partners team to support global border security and non-proliferation initiatives.
Commonwealth Trading Partners was selected by the State Department Bureau of International Security and Non-proliferation Office of Export Controls Cooperation for the Export Control and Related Border Security Support Services contract.
U.S. company and Tracker Automated Licensing System developer FGM Inc., part of the Commonwealth Trading Partners team, says the EXBS contract is part of a State Department effort to "enhance international strategic trade controls and to strengthen border security capabilities," a release said.
"We're excited at the opportunity to continue to provide support to the EXBS program and its mission of international counter-proliferation through the development and implementation of the Tracker strategic trade control system," Scott Gessay, FGM president and chief executive officer, said in a statement.
"Tracker is an important program in our mission of confronting and solving the most challenging issues facing our country and the world."
