NASHUA, N.H., Aug. 18 (UPI) -- British company BAE Systems announced the launch of its new first responder communication technology designed for multiple agency interoperability.
BAE has introduced its new First InterComm system designed to be interoperable between police and fire departments among other public safety and emergency response agencies.
Officials say the First InterComm technology, which can be mounted to a vehicle, also provides the emergency response market with a radio communication system interoperable with existing agency radios.
"With the added capability to communicate with trunked radios, the First InterComm system provides complete interoperability at a fraction of the cost of other available systems," Bob Ehrlich, BAE Systems First InterComm program manager, said in a statement.
