RESTON, Va., July 28 (UPI) -- The U.S. Marine Corps has contracted Northrop Grumman to provide the Intelligence Preparation of the Battlefield Process with information support services.
U.S. company Northrop Grumman was selected to provide information required for the Intelligence Preparation of the Battlefield process to support the Marine Corps Topographic Production Capability Family of Systems.
Under the $43.5 million, five-year deal, Northrop Grumman will provide the TPC program with maintenance, sustainment and technology refresh services among other requirements. Officials say work on the contract is expected to take place at the company's Stafford, Va., facilities.
"Northrop Grumman's TPC program team is highly regarded by the Marine Corps Systems Command community and our previous success has encouraged new and exciting opportunities for supporting the warfighter," John Olesak, vice president of integrated intelligence for Northrop Grumman's Information Systems sector, said in a statement.
"This award is a tremendous step for the program and our team looks forward to working with the Marine Corps."
