HUNTSVILLE, Ala., July 27 (UPI) -- A unit of Agility Defense & Government Services has been contracted by the Defense Logistics Agency to operate offices in Kuwait, Iraq and Afghanistan.
U.S. company Agility DGS says its Alabama-based Taos Industries subsidiary received two task orders from the DLA's Defense Reutilization and Marketing Service. Under the $8.5 million orders, Taos Industries will operate six Defense Reutilization and Marketing Offices located in Kuwait, Iraq and Afghanistan.
Officials say the task orders include operations, life, labor and materials support services among other property disposal, people and material moving requirements.
"Taos brings unique capabilities to the Department of Defense property disposal mission," Joseph Cosumano, Taos Industries president and chief executive officer, said in a statement.
"The company has a proven track record of moving people and materiel safely. These awards signify the great working relationship that Agility and Taos Industries have developed with (the) Defense Reutilization and Marketing Service."
