Under the $18.7 million follow-on order, Ceradyne will deliver its Small Arms Protective Inserts lightweight ceramic body armor as part of a Foreign Military Sales requirement.

"We are very pleased to receive this additional Foreign Military Command body armor order," David Reed, Ceradyne North American Operations president, said in a statement.

"We believe that the government placed this order with Ceradyne, at least in part, due to its reliable delivery, quality performance on previous SAPI procurements and competitive pricing."
