MCLEAN, Va., July 21 (UPI) -- U.S. satellite company Americom Government Services has completed its acquisition of network mobility and communications solutions provider AOS Inc.
Satellite communications provider AGS acquired AOS in a move to meet the evolving U.S. government satellite-based defense and civilian requirements. AOS will become a division of AGS.
Officials say the AGS and AOS team will offer secure satellite communications technologies and network mobility among other support services.
"AOS brings AGS valuable experience in innovative applications of secure communications technology, and further enhances our ability to meet requirements for satellite-based systems for the U.S. government," Tip Osterthaler, AGS president and chief executive officer, said in a statement.
