Validity says ToughSwipe, based on the company's LiveFlex technology, is designed to be resilient in harsh environmental conditions.

"The integration of Validity's fingerprint sensors in General Dynamics' waterproof notebook PC is another validation of the strength and durability of our fingerprint sensors," Mariel van Tatenhove, Validity vice president of marketing and business development, said in a statement.

"Validity's ToughSwipe fingerprint sensors work in extreme environments without compromising on the accuracy of the device."
