Lockheed Martin, which initially planned to lease the facility from CTC, decided to purchase MTF in a move to support increases in C-130J Super Hercules and the F-35 Lightning II aircraft production.

"We have been in discussions for several months about opportunities for Lockheed Martin to use available space in CTC's Manufacturing Technology Facility to support our business needs," Rebecca Styles, Lockheed Martin AeroParts president and general manager, said in a statement.
