Lockheed Martin to purchase CTC facility

JOHNSTOWN, Pa., June 1 (UPI) -- Lockheed Martin announced plans to purchase a facility from Concurrent Technologies Corp. in Pennsylvania to support increases in aircraft production.

U.S. company Lockheed Martin says its AeroParts unit has signed an agreement with CTC to purchase its 197,041 square-foot Manufacturing Technology Facility in Johnstown, Pa.

Lockheed Martin, which initially planned to lease the facility from CTC, decided to purchase MTF in a move to support increases in C-130J Super Hercules and the F-35 Lightning II aircraft production.

"We have been in discussions for several months about opportunities for Lockheed Martin to use available space in CTC's Manufacturing Technology Facility to support our business needs," Rebecca Styles, Lockheed Martin AeroParts president and general manager, said in a statement.
