QinetiQ to acquire Cyveillance

ARLINGTON, Va., May 7 (UPI) -- QinetiQ North America announced it has reached an agreement to acquire intelligence-led cybersecurity provider Cyveillance.

U.S. company QinetiQ said Cyveillance will become a subsidiary unit for the company in a move to address the evolving Internet risk and threat-intelligence requirements in government and civil markets.

QinetiQ said the addition of Cyveillance will expand its portfolio of cybersecurity and intelligence solutions.

"This acquisition represents an excellent opportunity for Cyveillance, our customers and our partners," Panos Anastassiadis, Cyveillance chairman, chief executive and president, said in a statement.

"QinetiQ provides Cyveillance with access to new resources and infrastructure to support unprecedented expansion and an increased ability to deliver new, innovative solutions."

Officials said the acquisition agreement is pending regulatory approval.
